The soundtrack on PS3 Madden 10 is another facet that will get hardcore gamers going. These soundtracks have become such a major part of the sports video games that the game just wouldn't be the same without it. PS3 Madden 10's soundtrack brings the right level of intensity, as well as a great mix of newer and older songs ("older" being a relative term here, of course). One gander at the song lineup should induce and impress: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth. If all those features and upgrades haven't convinced you that PS3 Madden 10 is a masterpiece, then perhaps a trip through the sports video game timeline will. Yeah, it may be a little much to rave about a current day game at the expense of the earliest football video games. But when you look at the old versus the new, you can truly appreciate the epic nature of PS3 Madden 10. At the dawn of video game consoles, one of the top requests from every hardcore gamer was a football video game for their system, naturally. Only thing was, video game consoles and cartridges didn't have the capabilities to match the needs of the typical hardcore gamer, so everyone had to take what they could get. "All the excitement" of the real thing, the game publishers crowed back then. With an open path to the end zone, this is what the number one console in the day scored a touchdown with.
The football players look like blocky little robots. That's just a harsh fact. As crude-looking as that picture is, it's even worse when you see the game in action. Put too many characters on screen at once with these older games, and every character started flashing and flickering. There's just no way to try an explain how lousy the sound was. No scrolling screen, either. Soon after, this one was given a run for its money with the competition. It was yards better than that first one - people looked a bit more like people, the players no longer flickered, and gamers got their scrolling screen. Still needed work, though. Yes, people were pretty stoked to see some improvements, but this wasn't the sports video game to put sports video games on top. That wouldn't come until several years down the line. This next one reaped the benefits of the 8-bit gaming revolution, and people still rave about it to this day. This one held the top spot for football video game fans forever.
Makes sense that it was so revered by the hardcore gamer - it really was the first true attempt to recreate the NFL. Everything - sound, visuals - got such a major upgrade that this was the final word in sports video games. Judging by its online revival, people still enjoy it today in small doses. That being said, PS3 Madden 10 still blows it away. Once you've viewed all the other games, have a gander at PS3 Madden 10. Yes, technology has been good to the video game world in general, and the football video game has benefitted from it all. But there's no purpose in ragging on the early games. No need to beat a dead horse. Those games did what needed to be done, and we have them to thank, indirectly, for PS3 Madden 10. Of course, PS3 Madden 10 has really taken the ball and ran with it, which is cause for serious celebration in the video game world. And of course, the critics are equally enthusiastic about PS3 Madden 10, which is even more good news for fans of the franchise. Comments like "realistic and enjoyable" pepper each PS3 Madden 10 review. EA Sports has sacked all the competition with PS3 Madden 10, to nobody's surprise.
Don't listen to the naysayers and the contrarians - there are few games as great as PS3 Madden 10. Hey, each PlayStation sports video game is EPIC in its own way, but for our money, PS3 Madden 10 is the stuff legends are made of. Hardcore gamers hold this one in the highest of regard. Along with its major popularity, this is also where you get to battle for bucks.
PlayStation Madden 10 aficionados now get to face off for big bucks. Once you do your homework and study the playbook, you'll be in the end zone scoring points and making your rivals weep as you empty out their bank accounts.
